There are two Proteach
undergraduate elementary education degree programs in the
School of Teaching and Learning. Both are accredited by
the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher
Education (NCATE) and by the Florida Department of
Education. PROTEACH requires an additional year of study
beyond the bachelor's degree. Requirements forteacher
certification are not met before the completion of a
fifth year of study either in the master's degree program
or the post-baccalaureate program.
