Doctoral Student Conference Travel Support Guidelines
NOTE: Due to extreme budget cuts for the 2007-2008 academic year, the School of Teaching & Learning is not able to support doctoral students traveling to speak at conferences. We do encourage you to seek funds from other sources.
Supporting doctoral students is an important component of the doctoral programs in the School of Teaching & Learning. Part of becoming active in the professional community is to attend and actively participate in professional conferences and organizations. The School of Teaching & Learning has a commitment to assisting doctoral students as they develop into scholars. One method of this support is the School of Teaching & Learning Doctoral Student Conference Travel Support.
Who is eligible? Any STL doctoral student who is presenting at a conference will receive priority consideration. A STL doctoral student who is at attending a conference will receive consideration, but not at the highest level.
What is the amount of the travel support? The amount of travel support available depends on the budget for the current semester. Tentatively, applicants can expect an award ranging from $100-$300.
