Virtual High Schools

Two grants related to Virtual High Schools are currently underway. “Teaching and learning in collaborative virtual high schools" is a study to determine the effectiveness of virtual high school content taught online. The study is funded by the North Central Regional Educational Laboratory and the University of Florida will be teaming with two virtual high schools in Wisconsin to carry out this study.

The University of Florida is a major subcontractor for “Teacher education takes on virtual schooling." Funded by the Fund for the Improvement of Post Secondary Education (FIPSE), this is the first initiative to prepare preservice teachers for virtual schooling.
