Social Foundations of Education

Courses in the sociology, history, and philosophy of education, along with comparative education, are vital for the intellectual development of administrators, teachers, and scholars. Such courses encourage people to look for solutions to educational problems in seemingly remote but relevant places. These courses offer students temporal, conceptual, social, and international perspectives. A solid grounding in these intellectual disciplines give one a distinct advantage in the educational profession.
