Financial Assistance

Applicants to the program are eligible for various types of financial assistance. Doctoral students who begin their doctoral program in the fall and have been completed admitted by January 15th of the year in which they intend to start the program are eligible for a university fellowship. All doctoral students, regardless of their starting semester, are eligible for department teaching and research assistantships. All students who apply for College of Education scholarships by the set deadline are considered for financial assistance. Fellowships, assistantships, and scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis. Please direct your inquiries about these awards to the Financial Aid web page in the Admissions portion of the School of Teaching & Learning web site.

The Reading & Literacy faculty encourage you to explore the Florida Department of Education's Critical Teacher Shortage Student Loan Forgiveness and Critical Teacher Shortage Tuition Reimbursement programs.
