Cathy Cavanaugh, Ph.D.
Background: Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the College of Education at University of South Florida, specializing in Instructional Technology; Master of Education in Secondary Education from University of Central Florida; Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of the Virgin Islands. Teaching experience in grades 6-9 science, professional development, and the university level, nationally and internationally.
Research Interests: distance education, virtual schools, professional development and classroom technology for learning
Current Work: Virtual schools research and other distance education studies in multiple settings, research on Florida’s Enhancing Education through Technology (EETT) program, a Math-Science Partnership project with Union County Schools.

Research Interests: Technology and teacher education; K-12/university partnerships; online teaching and learning particularly as it relates to innovative instructional strategies; integration of adult learning strategies in post-secondary education; diffusion of innovations
Current Work: Technology integration within 8 local Professional Development Communities; Teacher inquiry as a tool to support student learning during K-12/university partnerships; Evaluation of 1:1 initiative in 11 Florida school districts

Rick Ferdig, Ph.D.
Background: Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the College of Education at Michigan State University, specializing in Technology and Cognition; Master of Arts in Educational Psychology from Michigan State University; Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Calvin College (Grand Rapids, MI). Teaching experience at elementary, middle, high school, and postsecondary schools, nationally and internationally.
Research Interests: technology and literacy, narrative, and a deeper psychology of technology, technology use in learning environments
