Certificate Programs in Educational Technology

The certificate programs are designed for teachers interested in taking courses for professional development. Teachers do not have to apply to the University of Florida to take these courses. Upon successful completion of three courses in a specialized area, students will receive a Certificate from the University of Florida's School of Teaching & Learning.” Three courses (9 graduate credits) comprise each certificate program. Please see “Courses we offer” or “Current online courses” to determine when these courses are offered.

Please note: If you are going to apply for the Master’s degree, you can transfer in no more than 9 graduate credits. Therefore, you should not take any more than three courses (potentially one certificate) before applying. In addition, the UF COE Certificate is not the same thing as state teaching certification. Please check with your own state or school district for certification or recertification requirements.
