EDG 6931: Educational Change

Brief Description:This course will examine the causes, configurations, and consequences of educational change on the work lives of teachers in order to understand the way change unfolds within a context and shapes the world of education and the work of teachers. Specifically, students will examine the dynamics of change within educational contexts by focusing on understanding the process for change as well as principles for managing change. Additionally, teachers will explore change from various perspectives, review research on the implementation of educational programs, identify the role of organizational culture on change, and explore the relationship of schools to their external environments.
