As the manager of the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Florida, Christopher Coogan handles the day to day operations utilizing his background in accounting and financial management, as well as higher education administration.
He manages a staff of research assistants and student workers. His experience is varied, ranging from management to the fields of student development and affairs and Contracts and Grants within the University of Florida. He has an Associates, Bachelors, and Masters Degrees in Accounting and is currently a third year Ph.D. student in Higher Education Administration. Christopher has worked at a few of the world's largest public accounting firms as well as at financial institutions in the private sector. In the Institute of Higher Education's capacity as a partner in the Achieving the Dream Initiative, Christopher functions as the acting liaison between IHE and Initiative partners, the managing partner and the Lumina Foundation for Education.
