You’re Invited:  We invite you and your leadership team to participate in the 2008 Community College Futures Assembly and be apart of “revolutionary change.”  Community colleges are in a “perfect storm” of enrollment growth, budget shortfalls, and calls for increased accountability—we must Change or Die!  However, research indicates that the odds are nine to one that most individuals or organizations, even when faced with the dire need to change, won’t. 

Purpose of the Assembly: The purpose of the 2008 Community College Futures Assembly is to assist your leadership team learn how to not only beat those odds, but continue to thrive and make a difference in the lives of the students and communities you serve.  The Assembly serves as an independent policy “think tank” to 1) identify the critical issues facing the future of community colleges, and 2) recognize innovative trend-setting programs your college can replicate.

Keynote Speaker: Alan Deutschman, Author of Change or Die and Executive Director of Unboundary, will discuss his breakthrough research and proven ideas on how any individual or organization can achieve lasting, revolutionary change.  His research comes from leaders in science, business, and medicine.

Apply for the Bellwether Awards: Apply now for the 2008 Bellwether Awards if your institution is a leader in innovative change that seeks to address the critical issues facing community colleges.  Thirty Bellwether Finalist colleges will compete for the prestigious Bellwether Award in the categories of:

  • Instructional Programs & Services;
  • Planning, Governance & Finance; and
  • Workforce Development. 

The Bellwether Finalists will share their program development experiences at the Assembly, which will allow you replicate these award-winning programs at your college.

A Guaranteed Learning Experience: We invite you to learn with a select group of 250-300 community college leaders from over 30 states who share a commitment to quality, innovation and change.  If for any reason, you are not totally satisfied with the quality of your learning experience, the Assembly will refund your registration fee.
