Online Student Services will assist all students who contact HCC Student Service Associates via the chat forum, contact us or through our internal HCC e-mail account.

New Rules of Business: A New Approach to Mathematics Success at Montgomery College
To improve student success rates in developmental mathematics, the Montgomery College math faculty developed a Mathematics Learning Outcome Assessment Laboratory.  Using technology to help students continuously evaluate their own strengths, weaknesses, and areas needing further study has led to a dramatic improvement in passing rates for College Algebra.

Students can start in clock-hour based instruction and transfer that learning into credit-based Associate in Science degrees. The challenge was given to transform aviation related programs to keep them from being eliminated. These programs were to be discontinued due to enrollment declines, costs, legislative mandates, lack of administrative support, and drastic State budget reductions. The New Rule was a paradigm shift of focus to the global market for program sustainability, rather than relying on dwindling academic funding sources.  By matching business archetype strategies in a global market, these programs were strengthened and have become models for others.
