ECC General Board Meeting

September 6, 2006

Meeting called to order at 7:15 PM

Attendance: Sarah Ryals, Meredith Serneels, Dannielle Smith, Kelly Ann Hage, Stephanie Hart, Teala May, SCEC, FEA, SRC, MSEG, USECA

Not Here: Dr. Vernetson

1^st Business: Pres. - Sarah Ryals

• Gave a brief overview of the goals and objectives for the 2006-07 school year.
• Wants people to get involved
• Those who signed up for the BOCC leadership meeting, it has been cancelled. Sarah will call the chair to see if she/he can set up a small meeting to go over such things as the SAR.

2^nd Business: V. Pres. - Meredith Serneels

· Holiday cheer (w/engineering) - Meredith is still working on it; she wants many people to sign up for the different sub categories. Every org needs to sign up for one of the categories.

· Homecoming Float (w/engineering) – The meeting with engineering is Sept. 7, 2006 at 6 PM in Weil Hall rm 370. We need ideas and help. She stated that if you’re interested sign up. Since this is our centennial we want to make it big.

3^rd Business: Sec. - Dannielle Smith

· Office hours began this week, September 5, 2006, make sure you attend your office hours.

· If you are unable to make it, follow the three steps listed on the goals and objectives sheet.

4^th Business: Prof Devel - Kelly Ann Hage

• No report.

5^th Business: Treasurer – Stephanie Hart

· No report.

6^th Business: Historian – Teala May

· No report.

5^th Business: Orgs

FEA:

• First meeting will be next week Sept. 12, 2006 at 7:30 PM in the Terrace Room.
• They will have pizza, raffles and guest speakers.

SRC:

• First meeting is Sept.7, 2006 at 7:30 PM in room 158. A special education doctorate student will be guest speaker.

SCEC:

• There is a meeting Monday, Sept. 18, 2006 at 7:30 PM.

MSEG:

• First meeting will be Tues., Sept. 12, 2006 at 5 PM, in the Reitz Union room B70
• Meetings will on Tuesday nights 5 PM in the Reitz rm B70.
• Will be tabling in Turlington Plaza Mon. Sept. 11, 2006 and Tues. Sept. 12, 2006
• Oct. 1, 2006 we will be participating in Soulfest from 6-10 PM
• We would appreciate everyone’s support!!
