SELECTION OF TEACHERS FOR PROJECT BEST:

Selection will be based on teachers' prior academic performance (GPA of 2.5 or higher on last two years of undergraduate work), a combined score of 1000 on the Graduate Record Exam (required by all University of Florida graduate programs), willingness to pursue and ability to complete the University of Florida graduate degree program under the terms of the Project BEST grant, and expressed desire to serve as advocates for LEP students. Preference will be given to teachers who have documented successful experience in working with LEP students and who are proficient in a second language.
