Early Childhood Initiatives
The College of Education and the Institute for Children and Adolescent Research and Evaluation work closely with David Lawrence, Jr., retired Herald publisher, president of the Early Childhood Initiative Foundation and UF University Scholar for Early Childhood Development and Readiness. Through this collaboration, children in Miami-Dade County receive preparation for a successful educational experience. With the support of the community, there is now a nationally-recognized effort to nurture students and strengthen the ability of families to raise good citizens.
