All graduate students should have a Gatorlink or Plaza account that gives them access to web space. Verify that you have one of these accounts and that you know your password OR create an account (http://gatorlink.ufl.edu/). Make sure you do not have an account before you create one!!!! If you have not activated the web page services on your Gatorlink account, please do so by following the directions on the Gatorlink page. If you need a refresher on how to create a web page, please review the "Making your own web page". This is a graduate level course and the ability to make a basic web page is assumed. Alternative Assessment
Classroom Management

Alternative Assessment and Classroom Management -group planning and sharing

Half the class will be exploring classroom management techniques and half will be exploring alternative assessment. Each group will put together a presentation/discussion. However, instead of doing a whole class presentation we will use a jigsaw format with multiple groups participating in the same discussion/presentation. This facilitates more interaction and gives everyone an equal role in the learning environment. (and promotes positive interdependence).

In preparation you should (1) read your assigned article(s)/web page(s), (2) come to class with a written summary/outline of points you feel are important to share with your colleagues and (3)locate at least one other resource you feel could be useful to your group. You will have class time to share your findings and prepare your presentation/discussion.
