This site describes how children can be helped in therapy and how the different uses of play and creative arts work.  It allows you to take a brief glimpse at some of the skills play therapists use.  There also is a therapeutic play continuum.   This is the first version of this site.  Suggestive people viewers are Professional Practitioners, Play and Creative Arts Therapists, anyone working therapeutically with children, Counselors and parents.

Music Therapy may be a way to help children cope with cancer treatment, and find emotional and physical comfort.  This web site links to an article that describes a renewed interest in the use of music in a medical setting which includes its effect on children.  These studies were done in the 1980s.  The study was conducted by Maru E. Barrera, Ph.D. and a few colleagues at the Hospital for Sick children in Toronto.
